RRB ALP stands for Railway Recruitment Board Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician. This exam is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board in multiple languages to recruit assistant loco pilots and technicians for different railway zones. Candidates can choose their preferred language while filling out the application form. RRB announces various vacancies for RRB ALP technicians for different zones every year.
The notification for the post of RRB ALP was released on 20th January 2024, and the exam will be conducted between June and August.

The first stage of the examination is the screening examination. The candidates who qualify at this stage will only be considered for the further process.
The second stage of the examination is divided into two parts, i.e. Part A and Part B. Part A marks are considered for the preparing merit list, and Part B is the qualifying exam. In Part A and B papers, (one-third) marks will be deducted for wrong answers.
Candidates should read the eligibility criteria before filling out the registration form. If the candidates do not meet the eligibility criteria and then he/she will fill out the form, the forms will not be considered for the further recruitment process.
