The JEE Advanced exam is held only in computer-based test mode (CBT). Students are advised to download the syllabus PDF to learn about the topics asked in the exam.

To apply for the JEE Advance Exam, candidates must be among the top 2 50,000 successful candidates, including all categories, in the BE/B.Tech paper of JEE (Main) 2025.
Those willing to apply for this exam and belong to the general category should not be born on or after 1st October 1999. SC, ST, and PWD candidates will get 5 years of relaxation and have been born on or after October 1, 1994.
A student can attempt JEE (Advanced) at least twice in two consecutive years.
One should not be admitted to an IIT, irrespective of whether the candidate has continued with the program or has accepted an IIT seat. Those admissions to IIT who were canceled after joining any IIT are also not eligible to appear.
