Eligibility Criteria

• BTech- Those who are looking to pursue a BTech course should Pass class 12 with a 75% aggregate in the PCM stream Qualifying Exam: JEE Advanced
• BDes- Candidates should pass class 12 with the PCM stream. Qualifying Exam: UCEED
• MTech– A four-year bachelor’s degree with CGPA of 8.0( 7.0 for ST/SC students) Qualifying Exam: GATE
• MSc– Students must have a BSc or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST) or CGPA of 6 (5.5 for SC/ST). Qualifying Exam: IIT JAM
• MDes- BDes or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST) or CGPA of 6 (5.5 for SC/ST). Qualifying Exam: CEED
• MA– students should have a Bachelor’s degree with 55% aggregate
• Ph.D.– Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in the relevant field of study. Qualifying Entrance Exam: GATE or CSIR NET, UGC NET JRF

Students can gain admission to many UG, PG, and doctoral courses through national examinations; the admission process of IITH will start as per the course offered by IITH. UG Courses

• IITH B.Tech admission is through JEE Advanced, a common entrance exam. After clearing the exam and if the students meet the cutoff, then the qualified candidates are further called for JoSAA counseling.
• For IITH BDes admission, students need to qualify for UCEED. Remember that qualified candidates who meet the cut-off will be eligible for this course if they are called for counseling for the seat allotted.

PG Courses

• IITH MTech admission will be conducted based on a valid score in GATE, followed by PI, and final offers will be made through COAP.
• IITH MSc Admission will be conducted based on valid marks in IIT JAM.
• Admission to the MA (Development Studies) course will be based on written tests and interviews conducted by IITH.

Doctoral

IITH Ph.D. admission is through the interview process conducted by the institute. Also, those who have good academic records and GATE scores can get direct admission.
