Admission Process

Application Criteria of Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT] Chennai 

Below, we have provided the application criteria to help those willing to gain admission to IIT Chennai.

• IITs conduct JEE (Advanced) in the month of June.
• Only the top 1,50,000 marks in JEE (Main), which includes all categories (GE, OBC (NCL), SC, ST, and PD) students will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced).
• The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) is a common entrance test for students seeking admission to undergraduate programs of all IITs and ISM Dhanbad.
• To be eligible to write JEE (Advanced), first appear in JEE (Main) conducted by the JEE Apex Board in the month of April.
• There will be two objective-type papers in JEE (Advanced).
• Every paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The duration of the paper will be 3 hours. The exam question paper will be in both English and Hindi.
